Home Child Care Provider

Term: Indeterminate

Salary: $19.0 / hourly

Working hours: 35.0 Hours/Week

Working schedule: 13:00 pm – 20:30 pm, Monday to Friday

Work location: Private household (Coquitlam, BC, V3J 0E2 )

This is a private household-Qi’s Family, looking for a child caregiver to take care of our two school-age children (12-year-old & 9-year-old). This position is responsible for providing attentive and personalized care to the children while ensuring their well-being, safety, and engagement in age-appropriate activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

·       Taking care and monitoring my two children, one is 12-year-old and the other one is 9-year- old, making sure they are safe in my home or outside the places.

·       Helping children maintain good hygiene.

·       Preparing food and snacks.

·       Planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that stimulate children's intellectual, physical, and emotional growth.

·       Watching and observing any problems which arise in my children and notifying us immediately for any problems.

·       Developing schedules and routines to ensure children have enough physical activity, rest, and playtime.

·       Taking children to and from school and appointments.

·       Disciplining children according to the parents' wishes.

·       Performing light housekeeping and cleaning duties.

Skills & Qualifications

·       Completion of high school is required

·       Completion of a training program in childcare, food hygiene, nutrition, child mental health development, etc., is preferred

·       At least six months of caregiver experience is required, either at a private household or a caring institution.

·       Experience of working with child of similar age is strongly preferred.

·       Strong communication skills, patience, and adaptability, with a genuine passion for working with children.

·       Understanding of child social and emotional development principles is an asset.
