Job Description

Kajohn Thai Restaurant is a locally owned and operated Thai restaurant in Halifax. We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Food Store Clerk to support our restaurant operations by managing supplies, assisting with organization, and helping ensure smooth daily service. The following  are job requirements: 

Languages

English

Education

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • or equivalent experience

Experience

1 year to less than 2 years

On site

Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Work site environment

  • Non-smoking

Responsibilities

Tasks

  • Accept cash, cheque, credit card or automatic debit payment
  • Supervise staff (apprentices, stages hands, design team, etc.)
  • Operate computerized inventory record keeping and re-ordering systems
  • Provide advice about merchandise
  • Advertise and/or promote products, sales or services
  • Perform data entry
  • Provide customer service
  • Train staff
  • Assist in display of merchandise
  • Conduct sales transactions through Internet-based electronic commerce
  • Maintain sales records for inventory control
